Today we interviewed Andy, a teacher who spent 3 years in the JET program in Japan. If you’ve ever thought about teaching in Japan or wondered about the JET program, Andy has some answers for you.
He also brought the game of the week which deals with the verbs ’show’ and ‘give’. Get your students listening, speaking and writing sentences using these words. Useful for practicing present and past tense.

Thanks so much for this podcast! I “accidentally” ran into it about a month ago.
I have accepted a contract with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education for the coming fall. As I prepare to come to Korea this August, I am loving the chance to hear some dialogue about ESL teaching and get some great game ideas for my classes.
Thanks Eric and Mark for keeping me motivated while I wait to get on the plane!

Hey!
I just wanted to say thank-you very much for this podcast! I found it really helpful and interesting as I am hoping to go on the JET Programme (if I get accepted that is, haha!) after I finish uni the year after next. It’s great to actually hear someones first hand experience though - it makes all the difference =)
Thanks again!

I enjoyed this show. I would like to add that if you forget to bring things from back home instead of regularly hitting up family and friends a good option is to buy stuff via ebay which I do regularly.

EFL Geek - Thanks for listening!
I also find that I can get a lot of things off ebay and amazon.co.jp . There’s also a foreign goods importer here in Japan and I’m sure something similar in other countries. It’s definitely worth looking into.
