Classroom Management for Young Learners

Listen to the show.

Controlling your class is essential to create a learning environment. If you are unable to guide your students through the class smoothly havoc ensues. Take control of your classes by following these simple steps.

English Basketball - created to bring some of the 2006 World Basketball Championship excitement to the classroom. This interactive conversational game gets the students speaking and excited. Use it to review or practice Q&A, new grammar, reading, or vocabulary. With foul cards and limited 3 pointers, strategy is a big part of why the students are so captivated!

It was really one of the best audios regarding ESL teaching strategies that I had listened. Thanks for that. I have been teaching English to young learners for about 6 years in Turkey and I believe that the strategies you suggested here will be helpfull.

Thanks for getting back to me you guys. I used TPR a lot in class as an introduction for the younger grades, just to get them excited and settled at the time. I should use it more in class to be honest but my classes are jammed packed as it is!

Thanks a million! Your job helps teachers a lot. I wish i could download them free. I am a teacher of young learners, and a university lecturer in Iran. The thing is that it is quite difficult for us to buy those stuff here. Is there any way i could download them for free?

  13. Mark Says:

Amir - Thanks for the comments. This is a free podcast and you should be able to download and listen to the podcsats for free.

What problems are you having or is someone trying to charge you for these?

    Happy teaching,
    Mark
